Crochet school

In 1915, a new school was built just down the road from where the Nubbin Ridge school was located near Panchoville. After school houses were consolidated to the present site of Hathaway High School, Crochet school remained open for the younger children in the area. The school building also served as a Catholic Church for area worshippers. After Hathaway High School opened in 1939, the school building continued as a church until 1951, when St. Lawrence Parish was established and a new church building was built across from Hathaway High School on Highway 102.
